This online marketplace has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's garments without notifying every member regarding the update. Social Media Response Many shoppers and sellers are posting online stating that platform listings now display a different size category compared to what was initially listed because of the remapping. The company said the new system was more in line with comparable marketplaces. It has advised users to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Changes Earlier, the sizes had both a single numeric size and a letter, like S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes an alphabetical indicator and numerical range for example S/UK 8-10. With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Member Experiences Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. A different member, from Glasgow, stated items she posted featuring size 14 markings were showing in the marketplace as size 20–22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they're going to be very disappointed," she said. Required Changes Another shopper, located in England, explained she became annoyed by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item". "For me this is particularly frustrating, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial following partial earnings loss," she stated. Marketplace Information The app has more than 100 million users, with 18 million British users. It has emerged as a preferred choice versus similar marketplaces including eBay and Depop. This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: previously, Vinted reversed a change regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
